Thabo and Johannah Malapile have taken on the challenging and rewarding ministry of becoming parents to seven children plus one of their own, Masego. Johannah has been a houseparent reliever for Bethesda Outreach for many years and has been a faithful helper in our homes. When she heard that we were looking to train and develop some houseparent couples to come into the homes during the times our houseparents were on annual leave, she and Thabo took up the challenge. Little did they know that shortly after they were trained to be assistants would they be asked if they were interested in a permanent position.

Together, they have raised several children, some of whom are already adults. Their daughter, Masego, joins them as they begin this new adventure. Thabo works for the South African Police Services (SAPS) as a detective and Johanna keeps very busy in the home. As you may know, they have taken the place of the Letswalo’s who recently moved on. It is not easy to move into an established home and become the “new parents.” Please pray diligently for Thabo and Johanna as well as the children as they continue to adjust, learn about each other, grow spiritually and raise children to follow Christ.
