“I Am Not Forgotten” was one of the items performed this year at Bethesda’s Got Talent 2017. It was one song that really stood out as two of our Bethesda children performed a traditional dance routine to it while it was being sung (recording) by a group of orphan children from a children’s home in Uganda. What a powerful testimony of God’s knowledge of each of us no matter our family situation.

Bethesda’s Got Talent is an opportunity for our children to work on and perform a musical number, do a skit, or recite memory verses that they have learned. This year, there was a theme of water and God’s provision of rain and water. We enjoyed decorations of Noah’s ark, fish, and water. Since we’ve been in a drought for two years, we thought it was a great theme! Each child who performed was able to choose a new hat that the Stoffels had brought with them.

It is also an opportunity for our entire staff and families to enjoy a braai (cookout) as well as casual time with one another. It was hosted by Don and Fran Stoffel, along with Darcie Kozlowski who have organised this event for the last 4 years. We are so thankful for their love for our families and their desire to provide opportunities to encourage our children to develop their God-given talents and abilities.
