Starting the Year Off Right
Welcome to JCA! We are thrilled that you and your family are a part of our Jabulane Christian Academy family.
Many thanks to those of you who took the time to come to the parent orientation meetings for new and returning parents. It was wonderful to see all of you and to get started together on the coming year!
Hopefully your student is starting to get into routine and comfortable with their school environment this year. Please continue to be in good
communication with their teachers about any classroom or classwork questions and the office regarding any financial or organizational questions we can assist with.
PE Kits Available
Once again the school will be offering PE Kits for sale throughout the year. The first order will be placed on 2 February. If you would like to buy a kit, please see the enclosed order form and return it to the office with payment.
– Summer Kits include shorts, tshirt, cap, and bag for R300.
– Full Kits include track suit, long sleeve t-shirt, shorts, short sleeve tshirt, cap, and bag and start at R900.
Class Dojo
Individual codes for class dojo should be placed in student diaries this week. If you haven’t connected with the class teachers via class dojo and would like to, please use your child’s code to connect. If you have already searched for your student and connected to their class, you do not have to connect again with the code.
Family Movie Night
Details will be coming out in the near future, but we are looking forward to an outdoors family movie night! This should be a fun evening for the whole family watching a movie together on the school quad area.
Extracurricular Activities
Watch for sign up sheets to come home with your children for this term’s extracurricular activities. We will only start after Parent/Teacher conferences, but will continue into term 2 to give children adequate exposure to their chosen activity.
School Hall
Most of your heard that we are fundraising throughout this year to raise money and build a school hall here at JCA. This is a massive project that will hopefully allow us to expand our school arts and culture presentations, sport, and even extend into higher grades as the school grows. We are still well short of our goal! Please pray with us that the funding will come in!
