S has just turned 7 years old and is blossoming into a fun-loving and very nice boy. He is currently in Temporary Safe Care with one of our families and has been with us for just over a year already. He is in Grade R and has done quite well with learning English although this was difficult for him at first.
Like most kids, he plays a lot of soccer and enjoys playing cars with his younger brother. He is currently in school and enjoys doing his school work. Right now, it is complicated to go to school with daily screenings for symptoms of COVID 19, wearing a mask, and being socially distant all day but he is handling it quite well.
His mom describes him as a loving and joyful boy who is a good helper. Early on, he would naturally get frustrated when people couldn’t understand him but as he has learned English and Tswana, he has improved. His parents would ask that you pray that he will learn to control his anger more when things don’t go the way he wants them.
It will be especially important for S to know God as the Father of the fatherless as right now we don’t have a lot of information on his background and that is not easy. Pray that he will grow in his knowledge of God and adjust to the future that God has given to him.
