Cross country held on 5 March
Despite the very hot day the runners raced off enthusiastically with all the spectators cheering them on.  There were different age groups and distances and the winners of each race received a medal and a Spur voucher.  There were also medals for second place and awards for those who showed sportsmanship and perseverance during the race.  The  event was thoroughly enjoyed by all and our thanks to the coaches who spent many hours training the runners. Also to Ms Olver for the photographs.

End of Term 1 and start of Term 2
School closes at 12:00 on Friday 15 March and re-opens on Tuesday 2 April. Parents are reminded that fees must be up to date (including the April fees) before the start of the term. Failing this, learners will not be  allowed into the classroom until such time as the fees are paid in full.

Goodbye
We are very sorry to have to say goodbye to Mr Fitzsimons who will be leaving  us in the near future.  We wish him all the best for his future.

 D6 Communicator
The school has switched to the D6 Communicator program and you will notice the new format of the  learner reports.  As with most changes some errors  might slip through so please check that the learner’s name is spelt correctly.

After-Care
As we pointed out in the last Newsletter the daily after-care at JCA is a voluntary service, run by the teachers for an hour after the official end of the school day.  Due to the fact that some learners are still being picked up much later than this we have found it necessary to impose a penalty for their late collection.  Each learner not collected by 15:30  Mondays to Thursdays or by 14:30 on Fridays will be charged R25 for every half an hour thereafter, or part thereof.  We know that most of you will not be affected by this,  and we thank you for the timeous collection of your children.

Registration for Grade R — 2020
The registration process for 2020 will open on 1 April 2019 and application forms will be available at the school office from that day.

Space in the School
If you have friends or family who might be interested in joining our school, please advise them that we do still have some vacancies.

Fees
Although the school office will be closed during the holidays  (opening on 1 April) the Admin office will remain open for payments and enquiries.  *Note – Please ALWAYS use the 6-digit account code when making a payment.

That we henceforth be not as children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men
and their cunning craftiness where they lie in wait to deceive:  but speak the truth in love to grow up into Him in all things,
which is the Head, even Christ.
-Ephesians 4 v 14 & 15
