On June 14, 2008, Bethesda was pleased to host a Youth Day celebration. Individuals from the community joined the Bethesda families for a day of festivities including demonstrations from a local fire brigade, concerts from local musicians, a demonstration from the DeWildt Cheetah and Wildlife Trust, and a presentation of The Wizard of Oz by Jabulane Christian Academy students.
