My name is G. M. I came to Bethesda when I was very young. I thank God for providing me with a home in Bethesda where our daily lives are centered around the Word of God. I have the opportunity to learn and experience the grace of God and the wonders He can do and is doing in my life.

I am privileged to have loving parents who encourage me to do greater things in my life and reach higher for my dreams and goals. My parents have a great impact in my life and play an important role in influencing who I am, and who I am becoming; and I do not want to forget this. I also have amazing siblings in Bethesda, and I have learned a lot from them. I enjoy being around them and I have a deep bond with my family. Not being with them and losing this family one day breaks my heart – but that is not the point, the point is that I love them.

I have started high school this year after being in middle school for two years. It has been hectic throughout the past few months because of COVID-19. I did not get as much chance to enjoy my first year in high school. I have made a few new friends and I am hoping that my bond with them will remain through high school and beyond. I hope that my relationship with Christ will also impact our friendship and their lives.

I love drawing and I am good at it. I would like to take my love for art further and become a professional artist or designer. Last year I attended a seminar at Inscape College on design and interior design and is was a great opportunity and privilege to see that art can go beyond being a hobby to becoming a profession. Right now, I mostly draw during my free time and my art is influenced by my emotions. When I am happy, I draw; when I am sad, I draw; my art tells amazing stories and represents my character at times.

I also love cooking and I have taken one of the subjects at school (Consumer Science) which is centered around hospitality. I love playing netball, although I have not played much this year because of busyness linked to my schoolwork.

Finally, I am thankful for my family, my friends and Bethesda for their support and by providing a home filled with love for me. I am thankful to God for my life and all that He has provided.
